Irrigation Technician

Responsibilities

• Install new irrigation systems including trenching, piping, heads, valves, and controllers
• Diagnose and repair existing irrigation system issues including leaks, broken heads, faulty valves, and controller malfunctions
• Perform seasonal system startups and winterizations
• Install and program smart controllers with weather sensing technology
• Conduct backflow preventer testing and certification
• Provide clients with system operation instructions and recommendations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

Qualifications

• 1+ years of irrigation installation and repair experience preferred
• Knowledge of sprinkler head types, valve operation, and controller programming
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Able to operate trenching equipment safely
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day
• Texas irrigator or installer license a plus
