Irrigation Technician

Responsibilities

• Manages and checks irrigation systems by managing all the controller and chain functions of the control
• Tests and repairs irrigation systems
• Performs the operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems
• Locates, excavates, and repairs or replaces damaged or malfunctioning equipment
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and monitors all aspects of residential irrigation systems, including valve and manifold repair and rebuilding
• Installs and maintains new residential systems
• Improves irrigation systems by accurately and timely completing work order repairs
• Tests soil and vegetation to determine irrigation needs
• Maps out areas for irrigation installation
• Digs trenches and installs pipes and lines
• Installs pumps and electrical timers
• Conducts routine maintenance checks
• Tests complete irrigation systems for proper functioning of valves and timers
• Establishes and maintains client relationships and provides excellent customer service
• Participates in all snow removal events
• Assists with other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of residential irrigation assembly, troubleshooting & repair experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Bilingual preferred
• Reliable attendance
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR
• Willing to provide copy of driver’s license
• Able and willing to pass a pre-employment drug screening & background check

Pay

$26–$38 per hour depending on education and experience

Schedule

Hours vary and are dependent on business needs. Weekends may be needed to satisfy the workload.
