Irrigation Technician

Responsibilities

• Spring system startup, inspection, and repair.
• System inspection and repairs during the season.
• Winterization of systems in fall.
• Perform landscape maintenance duties with other crews in spring and fall.
• Maintain the company’s professional image while performing job duties.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• The ability to think mechanically and use fine motor skills.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.
• The ability to actively work on feet for the entire day.
• The ability to work independently, use strong time management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to complete driver qualification (Pass a DOT physical with a clean drug test).

No experience is necessary; you just need to be willing to learn.

About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain irrigation systems within townhomes by performing spring system startup, inspect systems throughout the year, and winterize systems in the fall. While Horticulture Services welcomes relevant experience, extensive knowledge and background are not required for this position. Therefore, there will be appropriate training and mentoring upon hire.

Pay

Pay starts at $20.00; a higher rate of pay may be available if you have relevant experience. $1/hr. increase after 90 days and positive review.

Schedule

Monday-Friday starting at 7:00 am. The length of the day varies based on the weather & job. The typical workweek is 40+ hours with overtime pay available. There is a potential for weekend/holiday work when poor weather shows its face.
