IRRIGATION MECHANIC

About the role

Join the University of Oklahoma Facilities Management Department as an Irrigation Mechanic and help maintain essential systems that keep our campus running.

Responsibilities

• Develop a skilled trade while working on commercial irrigation systems, including water wells and water tower operations.
• Operate equipment, troubleshoot systems, and contribute to infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.
• Trade school certificate in landscaping, plumbing, or related field.
• GIS mapping experience.
• Read and understand written materials such as blueprints, metrics, or technical manuals.
• Use appropriate tools or equipment with expertise.

Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, work time may shift due to weather or season.

Targeted salary $14.50 hourly, based on experience.
