Irrigation Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily assignments and priorities assigned by Section Grower to maintain top health and quality of plants in your assigned area.
• Perform tasks such as planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning.
• Monitor plant health, identify and address any pests, issues, or diseases.
• Operate and maintain irrigation systems and other equipment.
• Stay up to date on all training, as well as follow and enforce all safety policies and practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with and support other departments and managers, working as a team to accomplish a common goal.

Job Setting

• This position is primarily indoors in a greenhouse environment.
• Varying degrees of temperatures include high humidity, hot environments, and traveling outdoors between facilities throughout the year.

Basic Qualifications

• Previous experience working on a farm or in a landscape/gardening setting is helpful but not necessary.
• We are willing to train the right individuals to join our team.
• Basic math skills for measuring and mixing fertilizers and other materials required.
• Ability to retain mechanical understandings to operate and maintain equipment.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work in fast paced and physical environment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Rate of Pay

$13.88 - $17.96
