IRONMAN World Championship: Server, Full Time, Temporary

Brief Summary of Job

During IRONMAN World Championship events on October 8, October 11, and October 12: efficiently and courteously setting up assigned tables, retrieving and serving food orders, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to event guest tables. Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Aid with general banquet and event preparation, including banquet and event set-up and set or pre-set tables as assigned and room refreshes.
• Professionally serve food and beverages to banquet guests by providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service in order to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meal has been completed.
• Assists in clearing of tables.
• Check-in with and monitor guests’ experience throughout their visit to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a sanitary environment and adhere to food safety requirements.
• Report any missing/found articles, or damage to supervisor.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/Experience

One (1) year experience preferred. High school or equivalent education.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements

• Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and team members to their understanding.
• Ability to provide legible written communications.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
• Dependable.
