About the Role

As an Interventional Radiology RN, you will use your nursing expertise to deliver patient care alongside the healthcare team. Responsibilities include evaluating patient health, identifying issues, creating care plans, and tracking treatment responses. You will help patients navigate their healthcare safely and use your knowledge to prevent issues.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient and family needs by developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans, adjusting as needed.
• Create a safe environment for patients, families, and staff by maintaining confidentiality and voicing patient concerns when necessary.
• Manage patient and family education, and support the growth of nursing staff through knowledge sharing within the healthcare team and community.
• Partner effectively with team members and the community to implement cohesive care plans.
• Recognize limited resources and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care.
• Encourage professional growth by fostering a positive work environment and supporting peers' professional development.
• Participate in continued education and community service.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of patient care practices, medical terminology, medications, and equipment used in interventional radiology nursing.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with diverse groups.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to provide optimal patient care.
• Ability to track changes in patients' health and communicate clearly with nurses and doctors.
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of electronic medical documentation systems and email.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Major field of study must be Nursing.
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Schedule

• Shift: Days, 8 or 10 hours.
• Call requirement: 12-15 shifts over a 6-week period, including weekends.
• Position covers all vascular access cases.
