About the role

The Vice President, Fixed Income Investor Relations is responsible for developing and executing State Street's fixed income investor relations strategy. This role collaborates closely with senior IR leadership and partners with the Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to gather and synthesize information for consistent messaging. The role also involves managing relationships with buy-side and sell-side credit analysts, monitoring market trends, and collaborating with credit rating agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute State Street’s fixed income investor relations strategy
  • Organize and execute fixed income investor events, such as roadshows and conferences
  • Create fixed income investor materials, including presentations and management Q&A documents
  • Manage relationships with buy-side and sell-side credit analysts
  • Monitor and analyze fixed income market trends and investor sentiment
  • Inform funding strategy and capital planning through investor feedback and market analysis
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Legal, and other teams on the execution of debt issuances
  • Support interactions with credit rating agencies
  • Maintain accurate records of investor interactions and disclosures

Requirements

Strong understanding of capital markets, banking, and the financial services industry. Exceptional financial acumen with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear, investor-friendly communication. Clear understanding of the drivers of financial performance and debt and equity valuation. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence. Ability to establish new relationships quickly, both internally and externally. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-sensitive deadlines and multiple demands. Highly ethical individual with a clear and thorough understanding of Regulation FD and all applicable securities rules and regulations. Must also adhere to all State Street compliance procedures and internal operations risk controls in accordance with all regulatory standards, requirements, and policies. A minimum of 8 years of experience within the following areas: investor relations, ratings agency research, fixed income credit analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking with a focus on financials. Fixed Income experience a plus. High level of numeracy with a detailed knowledge of bank financial analysis and fixed income valuation techniques. CFA or equivalent qualification highly preferable. Proven success of being able to work independently with an owner’s mindset, while also being an energetic and collaborative team player with a proactive can-do attitude. Demonstrated high attention to details and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment. Uncompromising ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and the highest level of discretion in handling material non-public information. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with the ability to be a credible adviser to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred. A high level of numeracy with a detailed knowledge of bank financial analysis and fixed income valuation techniques. CFA or equivalent qualification highly preferable. Proven success of being able to work independently with an owner’s mindset, while also being an energetic and collaborative team player with a proactive can-do attitude. Demonstrated high attention to details and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment. Uncompromising ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and the highest level of discretion in handling material non-public information. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with the ability to be a credible adviser to senior stakeholders.

$120,000 - $202,500 Annual
