Responsibilities

  • Understand the construction, positioning, and investment rationale of custom and marketplace models
  • Confidently articulate model design, use cases, and evolution—particularly as models incorporate alternatives
  • Partner with Private Wealth Solutions (PWS) to support sales and marketing of: Custom model portfolios already launched and currently in development, Marketplace models available on the platform
  • Collaborate with National Accounts to align on the development and implementation of model portfolio sales efforts with enterprise and home office distribution strategies
  • Act as the primary sales-facing resource focused on model portfolios, including: Engaging advisors in model-related discussions, Addressing questions on portfolio construction, positioning, and implementation
  • Differentiate our models versus competing solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute proactive advisor engagement strategies, including: Targeted outbound calling campaigns using home office–provided data, Follow-up on advisor activity and interest
  • Partner with home office contacts (e.g., independent broker-dealers and enterprise platforms) that: Provide data and intelligence on priority advisors, Support and endorse direct sales campaigns
  • Work with internal iCapital teams (Nationals Accounts and Marketing) to deliver coordinated engagement plans, collaborating with home office partners (e.g., independent broker-dealers and enterprise platforms) to improve distribution effectiveness and advisor experience, including: Leverage available firm insights (e.g., segmentation, adoption trends, engagement indicators) to inform targeting, education, and follow-up plans, Coordinate approved enablement and campaign support (e.g., messaging, training, rollout timelines, and feedback loops) to drive awareness, adoption, and successful implementation
  • Provide structured feedback from advisor conversations to inform: Future custom model launches, Enhancements to existing models and sales messaging

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field; progress toward or interest in advanced certifications (e.g., CFA) is a plus
  • 6-12 years of experience in financial services, with experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, product, or investment-related roles
  • Exposure to alternative investments and/or model portfolios is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate investment data, portfolio performance, and market trends; experience with financial modeling and quantitative analysis is a plus
  • Familiar with investment platforms, portfolio analytics tools, or financial systems used in wealth management or asset management environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate investment concepts to both internal stakeholders and clients
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage multiple priorities, and support complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment
