About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Investment Operations Coordinator to join a growing and highly professional financial services organisation. This role sits within the Investment Operations team and is responsible for providing vital operational support across a range of investment management activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient processing and administration of investment transactions, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting a variety of operational projects and business initiatives. This position offers a blend of structured daily responsibilities alongside opportunities to contribute to wider operational improvements and change projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support post-trade activities, including trade booking and settlement monitoring.
  • Oversee the settlement of multi-asset transactions, ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly client money and custody reconciliations in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation exceptions promptly and accurately.
  • Complete transaction reporting and associated reconciliations.
  • Process corporate actions including dividends, interest payments, and stock-related events.
  • Produce and distribute client reporting, including valuations, tax documentation, and regulatory communications.
  • Manage client cash withdrawals and payments through third-party providers.
  • Maintain regular client payment schedules.
  • Process tax-related payments and associated administrative activities.
  • Maintain market, pricing, and security reference data.
  • Support annual ISA subscription processing.
  • Set up and maintain client account and portfolio structures in line with investment mandates.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of cash balances and standing data.
  • Produce portfolio valuation reports for third-party providers.
  • Process in-specie asset transfers.
  • Contribute to operational improvement initiatives and project work as required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills, and the ability to manage relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. They will be comfortable working within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and have an understanding of investment management and financial markets.

  • Understanding of investment products and fund structures.
  • Knowledge of asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and cash products.
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
  • Awareness of regulatory requirements within financial services.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management principles and investment concepts.

Desirable experience

  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with CRM or back-office systems within financial services.
  • Wealth management or investment operations experience.
  • Knowledge of in-specie transfers.
  • Experience with pension or SIPP products.
  • Exposure to legal-sector clients or trust structures.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable clients or complex client arrangements.

Professional development

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Per Annum.
