What You'll Do
- Gather, analyze, and report investment data across portfolios and investment activities.
- Create and maintain recurring and ad hoc investment reports.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of investment applications, systems, and databases.
- Reconcile investment information from multiple sources and resolve discrepancies.
- Support modeling and analysis of securities and investment-related information.
- Monitor portfolio compliance requirements and trade settlement activities.
- Perform month-end closing processes related to investment operations.
- Research and assist in resolving complex issues involving securities transactions and operational processes.
- Develop knowledge of policies, procedures, and investment operations practices within the assigned area.
- Participate in the development and implementation of investment strategies and operational initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, portfolio managers, traders, research analysts, and external market participants.
- Maintain pipeline databases related to private placement deal flow and portfolio activity.
- Generate transaction tickets to facilitate investment deal closings.
- Cook up all phases of documenting and funding deal transactions.
- Maintain and update operational procedure manuals.
- Oversee ticketing and funding activities, including transaction accuracy reviews, wire confirmations, and supporting documentation management.
- Represent the organization professionally with all parties involved in the transaction and deal process.
What You'll Bring
- A Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 1–5 years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, investment operations, or related fields.
- A general understanding of investment securities, investment accounting, investment operations, and supporting technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing skills in negotiation and influencing others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, sound judgment, and a history of achieving results.
- Experience with Bloomberg, investment management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to obtain and maintain Notary Public status and any required licensing within 90 days of employment.
