About the role
Negotiate investment management agreements for the segregated account client base as well as trading and derivative documentations. Project manage the workload and maintain/develop relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. Client Relationship Management and Take-on teams, Legal & Compliance, Portfolio Management teams). Support other geographical regions (including Asia-Pacific and EMEA) as required, due to the global nature of the IM business and the team. Work on wider initiatives and documentation aspects relating to other aspects of the Client business.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate investment management agreements and trading/derivative documentation
- Project manage workload and maintain/develop stakeholder relationships
- Support global regions (Asia-Pacific, EMEA) as needed
- Work on broader initiatives and documentation for the Client business
Requirements
- At least 5 years PQE in a major law firm and/or in-house at a sell-side or buy-side financial institution
- Sound understanding of the asset management industry and institutional client base
- Knowledge of trading and derivative documentation, investment management agreements, and ancillary agreements
- Understanding of financial services regulation, including asset management and derivatives frameworks
- Working knowledge of funds and commercial contracts within the asset management sector
