Responsibilities

  • Practice in all phases of general commercial, civil and business litigation matters with a national and international client base.
  • Draft and negotiate sophisticated contracts, including EPC agreements, design-build documents, alternative delivery contracts, supply and purchase agreements, service and engineering agreements, and consulting agreements, for large-scale energy, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Provide advice on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, bonding, and other critical commercial terms.
  • Manage due diligence teams and draft documents.
  • Lead due diligence teams and manage specialists.
  • Manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Exceptional credentials and a genuine passion for the law.
  • Relevant experience and excellent credentials to be considered for unposted roles.
  • Active membership in the Iowa bar, or eligibility for admission by waiver, is required.
  • Excellent legal writing skills, strong academic credentials, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams are required.
  • Direct partner mentorship, early client contact, and sustained opportunities for professional growth.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated contracts, including EPC agreements, design-build documents, alternative delivery contracts, supply and purchase agreements, service and engineering agreements, and consulting agreements, for large-scale energy, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Experience drafting loan, security, intercreditor and related documents, advising on covenant compliance, leading due diligence teams, managing specialists, and drafting documents.
  • Experience in corporate finance and/or working with financial institutions, private credit lenders or borrowers in finance transactions, including loan originations and real estate financings.

Pay

  • Level 2-4: $170,000 - $280,000
  • Level 5-7: $205,000 - $325,000
