Investment Management Associate Attorney (Senior-Level)

About the Role

MoFo’s Investment Management group is a dynamic, highly skilled, and diverse team representing clients whose businesses span the breadth of the investment management industry. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3–6 years of experience, preferably at an Am Law top 100 firm, and a strong background in regulatory matters involving the SEC’s Division of Investment Management.

You will work in either Denver or Washington, DC, advising clients on registered investment advisers, investment companies, and private funds, including registered alternative asset funds and other SEC-registered products.

Responsibilities

• Draft key corporate governance documents for registered advisers and registered investment companies.
• Advise private fund clients and their advisers on the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, general securities laws, and issues relating to registration, exemptions, compliance, governance, and product structure.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of legal experience, preferably at an Am Law top 100 firm.
• Regulatory experience with the SEC’s Division of Investment Management is valued.
• Excellent experience with registered investment advisers and investment companies, including registered alternative asset funds and other SEC-registered products.
• Outstanding writing and analytical skills with top academic credentials.
• Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in.

Pay

Annual salary ranges for this position are as follows (additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, health/welfare benefits, flexible time off, and paid holidays):

• Denver, CO: $260,000 to $390,000
• New York, NY: $260,000 to $390,000
• Washington, DC: $260,000 to $390,000
