Investment Management Associate
About the role
Foster Garvey’s Investment Management practice group is seeking an associate with three to five years of experience working with institutional investors or other relevant transactional experience. The associate will join a team of experienced attorneys and paralegals providing sophisticated counsel on a broad range of traditional and alternative investment transactions to public and private pension funds, high-net-worth individuals and family offices, private and public endowments, universities, sovereign entities, and insurance companies.
The team represents many of the country’s largest and most well-established institutional investors, including more than 40 public pension funds, four of the most significant in the United States. The practice is cross-disciplinary, with team members collaborating across the firm’s core practice groups, making it one of the most active investment management practices in the country.
The ideal candidate will process large, complex documents with excellent attention to detail, manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously, and be an effective communicator and negotiator. The role involves both team collaboration and independent work, with opportunities to develop business and investment skills.
Foster Garvey values professional growth, offering resources and mentorship, and encourages participation in pro bono and public service matters. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values, supported by the Opportunity & Progress Council (OPC), which drives strategic initiatives to foster an inclusive work environment.
