Faegre Drinker is seeking a partner-track Associate with 3-8 years of experience to join our Investment Management Practice Group in our Denver office. This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized investment management practice advising sophisticated institutional investors, private funds, and other market participants on a broad range of fund investment, structuring, regulatory, governance, and transactional matters. The Associate will work with a collaborative, cross-office team on complex private markets transactions involving private equity, hedge, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, credit, and other alternative investment strategies. Ideal candidates will have substantive experience representing pension plans, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and other institutional investors in connection with investments in private funds and related investment vehicles. Relevant experience may include conducting fund due diligence, negotiating subscription agreements, side letters, investment management agreements, separate account arrangements, co-investments, continuation vehicles, secondaries transactions, and other investment-related documentation. Candidates with experience at the intersection of investment management and structured finance are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with securitizations, asset-backed finance, rated note feeder structures, fund finance, credit funds, structured products, or other private credit transactions would be highly valued. Successful candidates will bring excellent drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills; strong attention to detail; sound judgment; a practical and proactive problem-solving approach; and the ability to manage sophisticated matters in a fast-paced, client-service-oriented environment. Strong academic credentials are required. Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law. The initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to, productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
