About the role

Katten, a global Am Law 100 firm, seeks a highly qualified Counsel to join its Financial Markets & Funds Department in the Investment Management and Trading group, based in New York.

Responsibilities

• Representing asset managers, financial institutions, broker-dealers and other market participants in financing and transactional matters related to investment management.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience with a strong background in investment management.
• Excellent academic credentials, strong analytical and writing skills, and a collaborative approach.
• Admission to the New York bar or immediate eligibility to waive into the New York bar.

Qualifications

• Experience representing asset managers, financial institutions, broker-dealers and other market participants is required.

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of investment management and related financial markets.

Pay

The estimated salary range for this role is $300,000 - $470,000. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to experience/job history, class/graduation year, and practice area of the selected candidate.
