Investment Fund Controller

Location: San Francisco (generally in office 3 times a week). Relocation assistance provided.

Pay rate: $250,000 – $325,000.

We are partnering with a hedge fund/commodities trading firm focused on technical environmental & energy markets such as carbon cap and trade permits, renewable energy certificates, financial transmission rights, power convergence bidding, and renewable fuels credits.

About the role

This role will be the firm’s initial finance hire, responsible for overseeing and scaling financial operations—ranging from OMS/PMS to accounting, tax, and audit—for all company entities (including funds, GP/ManCo, and various specialized entities for power trading).

Requirements

• 2–3 years of Big 4 tax/audit experience serving investment fund clients or 1–2 years of in-house experience at an investment firm or fund administrator
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
