Job Overview
Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Controller for their client's private investment platform. The position offers a salary range of $200,000 - $250,000/year plus a bonus. The role is full-time (hybrid schedule).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting and financial operations of investment funds and related entities while ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Manage capital activity, cash flows, distributions, and other fund finance activities to support investment operations.
- Support valuation processes, review financial reporting, and ensure the timely preparation of financial statements and investor reporting.
- Partner with finance, legal, operations, and external service providers to support fund administration, audits, tax reporting, and ongoing business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, internal controls, and operational efficiency through process enhancements and technology solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA designation is required. CFA designation is preferred.
- Experience: 10–15 years of experience in fund accounting, fund finance, or financial reporting within private equity, closed-end funds, or alternative asset management is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting general partner accounting, private equity fund structures, capital activity, and investment operations is required. Experience with carried interest programs and ASC 820 fair value reporting is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. Experience with fund accounting systems, data warehouse platforms, business intelligence tools, and financial reporting technologies is preferred.
