About the Role
The Fund Controller will lead the accounting, reporting, and operational oversight of multiple private investment funds. Working closely with senior leadership, investors, fund administrators, auditors, and portfolio company stakeholders, this individual will ensure accurate financial reporting and a well-controlled operating environment. The role offers broad exposure across fund accounting, investor reporting, valuations, and portfolio monitoring activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee fund accounting, financial reporting, and quarterly close processes.
- Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners.
- Review capital calls, distributions, management fee calculations, and investor reporting.
- Support valuation, portfolio monitoring, and financial analysis activities.
- Assist with fundraising support, due diligence requests, and LP communications.
- Drive process improvements, internal controls, and operational efficiencies across the finance function.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund finance, audit, or private equity finance.
- Experience working with private equity, private credit, venture capital, or other alternative investment funds.
- Strong knowledge of partnership accounting, fund structures, and investor reporting.
- Experience overseeing financial statements, valuations, and fund operations.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with fund accounting platforms and reporting systems.
- Proven ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
