  • Advise bankers on regulatory, corporate governance, IP, employment and litigation risk themes at a practical level
  • Support KYC, conflicts checks and internal compliance documentation for live deals
  • Partner with Hong Kong legal and banking colleagues on cross-border transaction structuring questions
  • Maintain playbooks and templates that improve diligence quality and turnaround time

Requirements

  • JD, LL.B. or equivalent law degree; admission in New York or another major US jurisdiction preferred
  • 4–8 years of experience in a law firm M&A / corporate practice and/or in-house transactional legal role
  • Hands-on experience running legal diligence and reviewing acquisition documentation
  • Clear communicator who can translate legal risk into actionable guidance for bankers and clients
  • High ownership, calm under deadline pressure and strong document discipline
  • Exposure to cross-border US–Asia deals is a significant advantage
  • Mandarin language ability is a plus
