Investment Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking an investment analyst to join our public Investments team, a small and collaborative group managing Vanderbilt’s $12 billion endowment. This is a three-year program dedicated to supporting our public markets portfolio, which includes global equities, hedged strategies, and fixed income.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze investment opportunities.
• Prepare materials to support investment recommendations.
• Participate in meetings with investment managers, ensuring key discussion points and meeting notes are accurately documented and maintained in the CRM.
• Monitor and report on investment performance.
• Assist in portfolio reviews and analysis.
• Maintain information on investment managers and prospective investment opportunities within internal systems.
• Stay updated on capital markets.
• Lead ad hoc research projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated interest in investments or finance, supported by an excellent academic record and strong work ethic.
• Entry-level role designed for candidates who are graduating from an undergraduate program or are early in their careers, typically with no more than one year of post-graduate professional experience.
