About the Role
This role supports investment analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and transaction execution within a growing investment firm. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting or finance, excellent analytical skills, and an interest in investment management and alternative investments.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models, evaluate investment opportunities, perform underwriting analyses, and support due diligence for prospective transactions.
- Monitor portfolio performance, analyze financial and operational results, support valuation processes, and identify trends, risks, and performance opportunities across investment holdings.
- Conduct company, industry, market, and asset-level research while reviewing financial information, legal documentation, and third-party diligence materials.
- Prepare investment memoranda, valuation materials, presentation decks, and other analyses supporting investment committee decisions and transaction execution.
- Assist with investor reporting, fundraising materials, limited partner due diligence requests, and cross-functional initiatives supporting firm growth and operations.
- Track market trends, identify emerging investment opportunities, maintain investment pipeline data, and contribute to sourcing efforts across alternative asset classes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
- 2–5 years of experience in public accounting, transaction advisory, financial due diligence, valuation, investment banking, private equity, or alternative asset management is required.
- Experience supporting private equity, private credit, financial due diligence, valuation, mergers and acquisitions, or alternative investments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, and investment underwriting is required.
Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills are required.
- Experience with DealCloud, valuation software, or similar investment management platforms is preferred.
- CFA designation or progress toward the CFA is preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborate with senior investment professionals, synthesize complex information, and demonstrate a long-term interest in private investing and alternative asset management.
Pay
$120,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
