About the role

The Investment Analyst position within Kestra Investment Management is designed to help architect, develop, and manage the firm’s market commentary and investment offerings. This role collaborates closely with the Chief Investment Officer to research market and economic trends and communicate these views to advisors, clients, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain up-to-date spreadsheets and charts with current economic indicators and market data.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of presentations used to communicate investment views to advisors and their clients.
  • Analyze current and historical economic indicators and market data.
  • Identify topics of interest to the investing public and tailor content accordingly.
  • Maintain a calendar of content, including identifying appropriate and interesting topics, and ensuring materials are ready and compliant on time.
  • Draft and refine market commentary and investment insights, simplifying complex economic and market dynamics into clear, actionable narratives for financial advisors and their clients.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • 2-3+ years professional experience in economics and/or financial markets.
  • Willingness to obtain industry licensing, such as the Series 65 or similar, as needed.
  • Actively pursuing or current holder of the CFA designation preferred.
  • Superior analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work closely with other members of the team and take ownership of key projects.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, growing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Commitment to a culture of professionalism, accountability, client focus, and teamwork.
  • Genuine interest in and knowledge of financial markets, economic indicators, and investment principles.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining spreadsheets and charts via Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks at any one time while maintaining high quality standards.

Internal applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum of 1 year of service with Kestra. Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.
