Position Overview
Jewish National Fund-USA seeks to hire an experienced Investment Analyst to work within the Finance Department. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate portfolio records, performing reconciliations, processing investment-related transactions and donations, and ensuring timely and reliable reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee investment activity tracking and reconciliation across approximately 150 accounts
- Maintain and upload broker statements into the investment system
- Manage tracking mechanisms (control sheets) to monitor transaction activity
- Prepare and review journal entries for investment transactions
- Perform monthly and annual reconciliations between internal and custodial records
- Manage broker reimbursement requests for trust accounts
- Process stock and bond donations and related transactions
- Support and take ownership of donor-advised fund (DAF) reconciliations, audit support, and tax reporting processes
- Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate recording and classification of transactions
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times
- Strengthen documentation and internal controls to support audit readiness and compliance
- Serve as a point of contact for investment-related inquiries across internal teams and external partners
- Provide cross-functional support and backup coverage as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Accounting or Finance experience (investment experience preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong expertise in reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction processing
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adequate attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables required)
- Proficiency in Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Salesforce, and Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred
