Investment Analyst
Job Summary & Functions
- Sourcing investment ideas, maintaining sector coverage, conducting fundamental research, and presenting recommendations to the investment team.
- Sourcing, evaluating, and performing due diligence on third-party managers, including leading diligence meetings and providing investment recommendations.
- Monitoring existing portfolio holdings and supporting ongoing investment due diligence.
- Contributing to client presentation materials, client-related projects, and other ad hoc initiatives.
- Continuously developing investment expertise and contributing to team investment discussions.
- Providing trading support as needed.
Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather information from diverse sources, perform fundamental and quantitative analysis, and communicate findings clearly and concisely.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Financial modeling experience (MS Excel) and strong quantitative skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with investment research platforms and applications is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in equity research, and a strong academic record (BA or BS required).
- Progress toward an MBA or CFA designation is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Total Rewards Package
Choate offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package to our business professional team members. The anticipated pay range for this role is $116,000 - $143,000, representing our good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range for this specific position at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to qualifications and experience, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
