About the role
The Investment Advisory Council at Initio Sphere offers strategic guidance on fund formation, capital deployment, portfolio oversight, and investment execution. This role is not traditional employment; Council Members operate as independent contractors.
Responsibilities
- Provide capital strategy guidance, LP engagement insights, and fundraising positioning advice
- Sponsor deal structuring, diligence oversight, and negotiation strategy
- Mentor analysts, deal scouts, and advisors on modeling, diligence, and deal execution best practices
- Offer portfolio advisory services, operational insights, and value creation strategies
- Participate in curated introductions with institutional investors, co-investors, and syndicate partners
Requirements
- Experienced private capital professionals with a history of leading or closing complex private capital transactions
- Track record of success in fund formation, capital raising, and LP communications
- Experience in deal structuring, investment committee support, and transaction strategy
- Ability to provide mentorship, technical training, and capacity-building for analysts and scouts
- Proven track record of success in investor relations and network development
Qualifications
- Background in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or similar fields
- Proven track record of leading or closing complex private capital transactions
- Experience in fund formation, capital raising, and LP communications
- Strong understanding of deal structuring, investment committee support, and transaction strategy
- Ability to mentor analysts, deal scouts, and junior advisors
- Experience in investor relations and network development

Pay
Council Members are paid an hourly rate of $200–$500, based on experience, expertise, and engagement scope. Transaction-based incentives may also be earned for advisory contributions on closed deals.
