About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Investment Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced Accounting + Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in insurance investment accounting and the Singularity investment platform. The ideal candidate will own reporting, serve as the internal expert on Singularity, and ensure all investments are correctly documented.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of insurance investment accounting and reinsurance accounting.
  • Utilize the Singularity investment platform to manage and monitor investments.
  • Serve as the internal expert on Singularity, providing guidance and support to other team members.
  • Ensure all investment documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Own reporting responsibilities, including the preparation, review, and presentation of financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement investment strategies.
  • Continually evaluate current accounting practices and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in investment accounting, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Extensive experience with the Singularity investment platform.
  • Proven ability to own reporting and ensure all investment documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • In-depth knowledge of reinsurance accounting.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.

Pay

$115,000 - $130,000 per year
