Investigative Photojournalist
Responsibilities
- Capture video and audio elements to craft compelling and impactful Investigative news, for both our linear AND streaming platforms.
- Collaborate with reporters to develop a cohesive vision for stories.
- High proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, & Photoshop) to create compelling visual graphics.
- Independently gather and create stories, showcasing your creativity and journalistic prowess.
- Generate digital content, edit vertical videos daily for our digital and streaming apps.
- Produce streaming specials including creating dynamic bold opens, backtiming the shows and organizing break structures.
- Operate live remote equipment. (Dejero, LiveU)
Preferred Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in TV photojournalism and/or news editing, OR 3+ years of relevant experience coupled with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 pounds, with or without accommodation.
- Flexibility to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Part 107 Pilot’s license with experience operating a drone for newsgathering
- Competency in operating mirrorless cameras (Sony FS7 and a7s series).
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation Range: $35.86 - $40.76 USD
