Responsibilities
- Developing and conducting polygraph examinations of investigative subjects.
- Identifying information and reporting polygraph conclusions for potentially pre-disqualifying misconduct.
- Verifying applicant statements using polygraph disciplines to support adjudicative decisions.
- Advising Staff Coordinators, Polygraph Program Manager, and Section Chiefs regarding polygraph operations and policies.
- Performing DEA polygraph examinations and/or polygraph quality control reviews.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Pass Selective Service registration or exemption.
- Pass E-Verify employment verification check.
- Subject to random drug testing.
- Subject to a 1-year probationary period.
- Background investigation required.
- Security clearance required.
- Pass urinalysis for illegal drug use screening.
Qualifications
- Certified federal polygraph examiner in good standing.
- At least one full year of qualifying specialized experience at GS-12 level.
- Experience conducting the Empirical Scoring System.
- Experience using techniques for pre and post examination interviews.
- Experience explaining relevant topics.
- Experience testifying in litigation.
- Experience providing technical review of examination files.
