Investigative Analyst (Polygraph Examiner/Quality Reviewer)

Responsibilities

• Developing and conducting polygraph examinations of investigative subjects.
• Identifying information and reporting polygraph conclusions for potentially pre-disqualifying misconduct.
• Verifying applicant statements using polygraph disciplines to support adjudicative decisions.
• Advising Staff Coordinators, Polygraph Program Manager, and Section Chiefs regarding polygraph operations and policies.
• Performing DEA polygraph examinations and/or polygraph quality control reviews.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Pass Selective Service registration or exemption.
• Pass E-Verify employment verification check.
• Subject to random drug testing.
• Subject to a 1-year probationary period.
• Background investigation required.
• Security clearance required.
• Pass urinalysis for illegal drug use screening.

Qualifications

• Certified federal polygraph examiner in good standing.
• At least one full year of qualifying specialized experience at GS-12 level.
• Experience conducting the Empirical Scoring System.
• Experience using techniques for pre and post examination interviews.
• Experience explaining relevant topics.
• Experience testifying in litigation.
• Experience providing technical review of examination files.
