About the role

To combat drug trafficking, you have the power to contribute to national security and improve the quality of life for all Americans. This role requires a combination of investigative skills and polygraph expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct polygraph examinations of investigative subjects.
  • Identify information and report polygraph conclusions for potentially pre-disqualifying misconduct.
  • Verify applicant statements using polygraph disciplines to support adjudicative decisions.
  • Advise various staff coordinators and program managers regarding polygraph operations and policies.
  • Perform DEA polygraph examinations and/or polygraph quality control reviews.

Requirements

As a federal employee, you must:

  • Pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
  • Pass random drug tests.
  • Undergo a background investigation leading to a security clearance.
  • Qualifications

    • At least one full year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to GS-12.
    • Experience conducting the Empirical Scoring System.
    • Practical experience in pre and post examination interviews.
    • Ability to explain relevant topics clearly.
    • Experience testifying in litigation.
    • Technical review of examination files.

    Pay

    Salary ranges from $68,780 to $137,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
