About the Position

As a vital addition to our team, you will independently own and execute complex internal investigations regarding allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. From untangling high-risk "Sentinel Events" to presenting your critical findings directly to top leadership and General Counsel, your insights will directly shape our organization's safety and integrity.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Strategy: Own the full case lifecycle—from defining the scope to conducting high-stakes interviews with witnesses, victims, and alleged perpetrators.
  • Manage Fast-Paced Cases: Lead multiple investigations simultaneously in an environment where precision and high standards are non-negotiable.
  • Analyze & Report: Decode complex data and translate your findings into pristine, high-level compliance reports.
  • Partner with Leadership: Present your insights directly to agency executives and collaborate with federal, state, and law enforcement agencies.

Hours & Travel Expectations

  • Work Environment: This is a remote, work-from-home position.
  • Travel: Up to 50%–75% regional travel is required to support local operations and conduct on-site casework.
  • Schedule: Primarily day hours; however, flexibility is required as some evening hours will be necessary depending on the active investigations and when interviews need to be conducted.

Salary

$60,000 - $65,000

What We’re Looking For

  • Location: Must reside near the Chicago, IL area.
  • Experience: 3+ years of administrative, organizational, or compliance experience (healthcare or I/DD setting is a huge plus).
  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Ability to obtain a Conducting Serious Incident Investigations / Level I certification within 12 months of hire is required.
  • Superpowers: Absolute confidentiality, a calm demeanor during a crisis, and laser-focused attention to detail.
