About the role
AlixPartners’ Investigations, Compliance & Privacy practice applies accounting, financial, and data-analysis expertise to help clients address critical issues. You will work closely with AlixPartners experts on complex financial investigations involving financial-statement fraud, asset misappropriation, and corruption.
Responsibilities
- Assess complex financial transactions for compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Report on and ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and federal securities law.
- Research and analyze factors affecting litigation damages or valuation, including industry and market dynamics.
- Develop and assess financial projections and forecasts.
- Create financial models incorporating valuation theory, such as discounted cash flow (DCF) models.
- Analyze financial transactions for potential fraud and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Review audit working papers for compliance with professional standards.
- Communicate with clients and colleagues in written and oral form, including drafting expert reports and client presentations.
- Create and manage large data sets and apply statistical analysis.
- Prepare presentation materials and perform quality-control reviews over work product.
- Organize documents and work papers, including preparation of supporting materials for litigation and valuation reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree is desirable.
- Minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
- Pursuit of additional professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is viewed favorably.
- Well-developed analytical abilities and experience preparing (or ability to learn to prepare) financial models and cash-flow analyses.
- Strong project-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, self-prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Professional demeanor with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Positive and energetic attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours as project needs arise.
- Ability to work full-time in a hybrid (office/remote) environment and physically able to sit/stand at a computer for significant portions of the workday.

Pay
Salary range for this role is $110,000 – $220,000, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
Schedule
Hybrid work model combining in-person (client site or AlixPartners office) and remote work; travel frequency varies by client, team, and individual circumstances.
