Investigations, Compliance & Privacy - Sr. Vice President, CPA

About the Role

AlixPartners' Investigations, Compliance & Privacy practice applies accounting, financial, and data analysis expertise to assist clients with critical issues. You will work closely with experts to address complex financial investigations, including financial statement fraud, asset misappropriation, and corruption. The role involves a hybrid work model combining in-person (client site or office) and remote work, with travel requirements varying by client and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess complex financial transactions for compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Work on reporting and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and federal securities law.
• Research and analyze factors affecting litigation damages or valuation, including industry or market understanding.
• Develop and assess financial projections and forecasts.
• Create financial models incorporating valuation theory, such as discounted cash flow (DCF) models.
• Analyze financial transactions for potential fraud and compliance with accounting standards.
• Review audit working papers for compliance with professional standards.
• Communicate with clients and colleagues through expert reports, presentations, and oral updates.
• Create and manage large datasets, applying a data-driven approach.
• Apply statistical analysis to support findings.
• Prepare presentation materials for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Perform quality control reviews over work product.
• Organize documents and work papers, including preparation of supporting materials for litigation and valuation reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree is desirable.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
• Pursuit of additional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is viewed favorably.
• Well-developed analytical abilities and experience preparing financial models and cash flow analyses.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with an entrepreneurial attitude.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Positive and energetic attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work outside normal U.S. business hours as project needs arise.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (office and remote) and physically able to work at a computer for extended periods.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $210,000 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
