Job Summary

As our Materials Management Technician, you will assist the Manager or Supervisor in coordinating shifts, staffing, work assignments, and schedules to maintain an efficient and productive team. Your responsibilities include disinfecting medical equipment and procedure carts, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering medical supplies and equipment, preparing equipment and supplies for shipping, conducting daily counts of par-level locations, entering data for stock items issued from inventory, maintaining inventory and materials management work areas in a clean and orderly condition, and participating in inventory and cycle-counting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Disinfect medical equipment and procedure carts according to department procedures
  • Receive, store, issue, and deliver medical supplies and equipment
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for shipping when necessary
  • Perform daily counts of par-level locations using hand-held technology or the materials management information system
  • Enter data for stock items issued from inventory
  • Maintain all hospital inventory and materials management work areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Participate in the inventory and cycle-counting process as outlined by departmental procedures
  • Sort and deliver inter-office, U.S. Mail, and packages per hospital procedure
  • Process outgoing mail
  • Stock facility inventory
  • Conduct cycle counting
  • Rotate inventory on a first in, first out basis
  • Train Materials Management Technicians per policy and procedures
  • Communicate work flow observations to Supervisor/Manager

Job Requirements

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Six (6) to twelve (12) months of inventory management experience
  • Preferred: Six (6) to twelve (12) months related work experience in a hospital stockroom or warehouse
  • Preferred: Forklift operation certification and/or experience

Pay Range

$19.26 - $19.26 /hour
