About the Role

Be the primary liaison and communication connection between our manufacturing teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the Material and Operations team to support all supply chain activities for the PSD Division. The individual will be responsible for all supply chain activities in the PSD division, including continual involvement with our suppliers and collaboration on ITW Strategic Sourcing Initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer service to expedite shipments as needed.
  • Support activities related to procurement, storage, and shipment of raw materials.
  • Issue POs/releases to suppliers.
  • Conduct cycle counts.
  • Manage and implement ECO’s while minimizing impact to Manufacturing.
  • Manage NCN’s and coordinate the disposition of rejected materials with suppliers.
  • Effectively communicate and resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Maintain MOH goals and limit non-"active" inventory.
  • Support maintenance of MRD systems.
  • Participate in material management improvement projects (80/20, flow principles, MRD, PLS, etc.).
  • Work within the PSD Materials Team to identify, implement, and maintain best practices.
  • Back up team members during vacations and assist with vacation scheduling.
  • Lead relevant materials projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or actively pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related field.
  • Previous materials or supply chain experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong relationship-building skills within the division and externally.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to read bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, and prints.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Magic, Macola, Windows, Word, Excel, and Intranet.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and lift up to 50 lbs.
