About the role

As Inventory Specialist, you will accurately document and track all finished products within state-mandated inventory tracking systems (METRC or equivalent) and internal tracking systems. You will coordinate inventory before and after packaging, testing, and sales fulfillment, and serve as a point-of-contact for company sales representatives. This role requires a flexible schedule and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and adaptability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in inventory control based on company standards and state regulations:
    • Document and enter all inventory from production kitchen into METRC or other state-specific tracking systems
    • Clearly label all inventory
    • Perform daily audits of physical inventory
    • Collaborate with Inventory Supervisor or Manager on inventory levels and packaging planning
    • Log all transfers from inventory items into finished packaged sellable units
    • Fulfill orders, complete manifest documentation, and facilitate product intake/outtake with sales representatives
  • Receive, stage, and coordinate the flow of raw materials throughout the facility
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory vault and ensure a safe working environment
  • Communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company
  • Report any damaged, spoiled, broken, or unsatisfactory product or equipment to supervisors
  • Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product
  • Additional duties as assigned based on business needs

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of directly related experience in inventory, analyst, or logistics roles, preferably in the food or beverage industry
  • Experience working with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Suite, Google, Slack; experience with Jira or other management platforms preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Occasional travel between buildings and sites
  • Ability to maintain and manage confidential information
  • Must be 21 years or older (state regulation)
  • ServSafe or Food Handler’s Card preferred
  • Must pass a background check
  • Willingness to obtain forklift certification if required
  • Must obtain all applicable state-required permits, licenses, and certifications
