Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective operations by managing deliveries, inventory, and equipment. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing documentation records for deliveries and inventory transactions
• Maintaining accountability for tools, equipment, and supplies
• Ensuring a clean and organized storeroom and Shipping/Receiving areas
• Ordering parts and equipment as needed and maintaining optimized reorder points
• Maintaining strong inventory accuracy and resolving issues
• Reviewing and handling obsolete parts
• Participating in shutdown planning and updating part availability
• Operating the forklift for parts movement
• Supporting periodic inventory audits
• Maintaining the Bar/QR code labelling program
• Coordinating with mobile/EZMax Mobile devices and conducting Maximo training
• Understanding plant processes and coordinating with other teams
• Maintaining a team environment and promoting POET values
• Maintaining safety and environmental compliance
• Ensuring food safety and quality

Qualifications & Skills

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with maintenance management systems like Maximo
• UpTime Elements Maintenance Reliability Certification or equivalent
• Forklift certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computerized accounting systems
• Self-starter with collaborative skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and critical thinker
• Honesty, confidentiality, and ethical behavior
• Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Innovative mindset and willingness to learn

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Occasional lifting up to 60 pounds
• Climbing stairs and ladders
• Bending, twisting, and turning while lifting light weights
• Data entry for extended periods
• Standing for extended periods
• Pushing tools and equipment
• Using hand and power tools
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Working in various environments including plant, laboratory, and office
• Exposure to high noise levels, moving machinery, dust, extreme temperatures, and chemicals
• Driving POET vehicles
