Inventory Specialist
About the role
Inventory Specialists will maintain inventory on commodity items, finished goods and project specific gear. They perform daily, weekly and monthly audits to ensure quantities are current and accurate for procurement process.
Responsibilities
- Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
- Affirms inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
- Provides inventory reports to receiving supervisor and procurement teams.
- Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
- Maintains consistent stock of inventory.
- Pulls and packs product based on daily orders. Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
- Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assists with periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) physical inventory audits.
- Maintains compliance with all OSHA and Company safety requirements.
- Ensures proper safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Actively maintains 5S principles throughout work area.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a related area. Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics experience preferred.
Qualifications
Travel: 0-10%
Skills
Knowledge of inventory management systems and practices.

Schedule
This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, or 6 pm to 6 am Monday through Friday depending on assigned shift. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.
