About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-directed Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-paced team at Elektro Assemblies. Located in Red Wing, Minnesota, we are a leading manufacturer of wire needs for various industries including automotive, healthcare, technology, and food equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine replenishment of raw materials - executing on MRP actions (generating and sending purchase orders to support planned and scheduled production).
- Accurate and complete kitting of production orders; ensuring parts are in the right place, at the right time.
- Complete and accurate shipping (Complete and on time - COT).
- Complete, accurate, and efficient receiving of raw materials.
- Inspect and validate incoming products and materials to specification.
- Analyze and complete root cause analysis and corrective actions related to supplier performance.
- Utilize data to drive supplier performance: quality, delivery, and cost of goods.
- Manage and maintain warehouse inventories - ensuring accuracy, fixed locations, visibility, and physical controls.
- Maintain and execute our Cycle Count Program (CCT) to ensure inventory accuracy.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum six (6) months of related experience or training in a high-volume repetitive manufacturing environment using MRP – Materials Requirements Planning.
- Associates degree is preferred but not required.
- Six to nine (6-9) months of direct use of a traditional ERP / MRP systems.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage and maintain warehouse inventories accurately.
- Good at analyzing and completing root cause analysis and corrective actions related to supplier performance.
- Proficient in utilizing data to drive supplier performance: quality, delivery, and cost of goods.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Experience in a high-volume repetitive manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Skills
- MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) proficiency.
