This is an on-site position located in Fort Worth, Texas.

About the Role

Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. You will work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgement. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the division’s/department’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals.

Works under minimum supervision, seeking approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound technical judgment. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers, and internal service.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, controls, and reports inventory for the Program Management team.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify excess, slow-moving, and obsolete materials.
  • Perform regular E&O (Excess & Obsolete) analysis to identify inventory risk and financial potential.
  • Prepare and submit E&O claims to customers in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Maintain proper tracking of E&O exposure, claim submissions, approvals, and recovery amounts.
  • Produce weekly reports to forecast and track inventory.
  • Balance inventory results with financial records.
  • Track inventory issues and assist team members in understanding and resolving them.
  • Coordinate the distribution of surplus parts to other sites.
  • Initiate the scrapping of surplus parts in accordance with Celestica procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business or Engineering), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience in inventory analysis, supply chain planning, or material management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with SAP and RapidResponse.

Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment.
  • May require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator) are frequently required.
