Job Summary
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the Inventory Management System.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs stock counts in the Inventory Management System daily to ensure accuracy of product balances on hand.
- Maintains accurate inventory levels through proper ordering and receiving of product.
- Ensures all pending inventory transactions are reviewed and completed daily.
- Communicates with store director on inventory levels; researches any shortages and corrects unacceptable shelf conditions.
- Ensures product levels are maintained and replenished on shelves.
- Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Intermediate knowledge of the company's backroom organization standards.
- Basic knowledge of product placement.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
- Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
- Ability to use knives/box cutters.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack/bailer.
Education, Experience And Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age required.
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
- High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 55 lbs.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
- Frequently required to bend, kneel or squat.
- Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.
- Continuously required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
- Continuously required to stand or walk.
Work Context And Environment
- Frequently exposed to extreme cold conditions (non-weather).
- Frequently exposed to extreme heat conditions (non-weather).
- Work is generally performed in a retail store.
