About the role

The Inventory Specialist supports the daily operations of Arthrex Grand Rapids' inventory and in-office functions. Reporting directly to the Inventory Manager, this role works under the guidance of the Executive Director of Operations to ensure operational strategy is met.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations at the Grand Rapids headquarters, ensuring efficient workflow and organization
  • Aid in receiving, stocking, storing, picking, packing, and shipping orthopedic products and instrumentation
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts, reconciliation, and auditing processes
  • Manage and track Arthrex loaner inventory, processing and monitoring bimonthly territory inventory orders
  • Assist with territory storage unit and remote office audits, including reconciliation of product, lot, and serial discrepancies
  • Support Territory Managers with product recall communication and inventory recovery efforts
  • Assist with daily order fulfillment and shipping logistics to support field sales teams and surgeon cases
  • Coordinate shipping documentation and maintain accurate inventory movement records
  • Operate a vehicle for daily business operations, including transporting inventory and instrumentation to support operational and field needs
  • Partner with the Director of Medical Education to prepare instrumentation and product sets for surgeon labs and training events
  • Organize lab instrument sets for upcoming educational programs
  • Support operational readiness for cadaver labs and training events
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, warehouse efficiency, and inventory processes
  • Implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices that improve productivity and reduce errors
  • Maintain compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards

What it takes to succeed

We seek someone with strong operational discipline, a team-first attitude, and a commitment to excellence. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain support; strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining accountability; proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; valid driver's license with a clean driving record; and willingness to drive regularly as part of the role, including transporting inventory and instrumentation to support operational and field needs.
