Inventory Specialist

Responsibilities

• Receives merchandise and ensures it matches the order
• Stocks merchandise in appropriate location
• Reviews stock for expired medications, as needed
• Handles returns
• Ensures an accurate inventory of product
• Other duties as assigned that ensure an accurate inventory of product

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent
• Preferred: One year of inventory experience in a similar role
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic PC skills and ability to navigate basic computer programs
• Accurately count items in numerical sequence
• Must have a patient-centered focus
• Must have excellent reading and oral instruction comprehension and judgment

Physical/Mental Demands

• Spend a majority of the day on their feet
• Identify and categorize information/drugs
• Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
• Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers
• Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to rules/procedures
• Excellent reading and oral instruction comprehension and judgment
• Lift office and clinical supplies weighing up to five pounds; occasionally lift or carry up to thirty pounds
• Push/pull when unpacking supplies
• Climb step stool to access supply or filing shelves
• Bend when unpacking supplies, filing or retrieving charts and files
• Reach or twist to handle supplies/files

Schedule

• This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week
• May be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis

Compensation

• $27/hr. - $30/hr.
