Functions and Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and move incoming supplies and materials using Government-furnished equipment (e.g., carts, pallet jacks, bins, scanners) when authorized.
- Break down pallets and prepare materials for storage or distribution.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation.
- Identify and report visible damage, discrepancies in quantities, or documentation inconsistencies.
- Stage supplies for storage and distribution to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage areas in accordance with Government standards.
- Support accurate inventory tracking and supply flow across VASDHS locations.
- Utilize inventory management systems and Microsoft Office tools to document and track inventory activities.
- Follow all established safety, OSHA, and HAZMAT handling procedures.
Education and Experience
- Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply, warehouse, or inventory management.
- Required: Proficiency and fluency in the English language (written and verbal).
- Required: Experience with inventory management systems and general warehouse workflows.
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Required: Ability to follow structured processes and comply with Government and PWS requirements.
- PREFERRED: Experience supporting Federal or Government logistics operations.
- PREFERRED: Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and warehouse automation tools.
- PREFERRED: Experience working in healthcare or high-volume distribution environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push up to 100 lbs. using carts or similar conveyance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, as applicable.
Compliance Requirements
- Must comply with all safety and HAZMAT handling requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required Government system access and training.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet contract-specific requirements, as applicable.
Salary
$21.56 - $24.79 per hour
