Schedule: 3pm – 11:30pm

About the role

The Inventory Specialist supports daily supply chain operations by maintaining appropriate inventory levels, accurately picking and staging orders, completing cycle counts, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies to assigned areas. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in a fast-paced environment, and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies in all assigned areas, including stocking, restocking, and staging orders for delivery
  • Pick and stage orders for walk-up window and batch requests, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
  • Conduct physical inventory counts of supply cabinets and warehouse inventory as scheduled
  • Audit deliveries against receipts and documentation to confirm correct items, quantities, and condition
  • Use materials management systems to review inventory levels, transaction history, and pending orders
  • Perform maintenance, exchange, and transport activities for specialty carts and kits such as code carts, surgical carts, and respiratory boxes
  • Communicate clearly with customers and team members regarding supply chain services, schedules, and requisitions

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a related role; healthcare, warehouse, or supply chain experience preferred
  • Experience using a materials management system is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify orders, receipts, and documentation accurately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move or traverse throughout the facility as needed
  • Must be able to operate office and warehouse equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, hand trucks, and pallet jacks
  • Must be able to frequently move, transport, and position supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information in writing and verbally

Work Environment

  • Often work indoors but may sometimes work outdoors or travel to and from work sites in a car or van
  • Sometimes exposed to contaminants such as cleaning solvents
  • Occasionally exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable; machinery can be quite loud
  • May have to get into awkward positions to reach cramped workspaces
  • Sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures; workspaces may not be temperature controlled
