Responsibilities
- Process and submit purchase orders for inventory replenishment under the direction of a supervisor
- Prepare analytical reports as necessary for all inventory and procurement functions
- Request quotes from vendors and assist with comparing pricing and terms
- Track and monitor inventory levels, flagging low stock or discrepancies as needed
- Research inventory reconciliations and adjustments to ensure inventory accuracy
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records in the company’s systems
- Communicate with vendors regarding order status, pricing discrepancies, delivery schedules, and basic inquiries
- Generate routine inventory and purchasing reports for review by management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, sales, and logistics to optimize inventory and procurement processes
- Support the purchasing and inventory team with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements and Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree or coursework in business or a related field is a plus
- Advanced Excel experience is a must
- Prior experience in a purchasing, inventory, warehouse, or administrative support role is preferred
- Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory processes
- Comfortable using computer systems and spreadsheets; experience with inventory or purchasing software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with vendors and internal teams
- Ability to stay organized and manage routine tasks efficiently
