About the Role

The Inventory & Procurement Manager is an operational role responsible for building and owning a data-driven inventory and procurement function within a high-growth manufacturing environment. • Deliver monthly inventory valuation and variance reports directly to the CFO; investigate and resolve all variances with full root cause documentation.
  • Maintain inventory turns at or below 4-6 per year and inventory accuracy through cycle counts and disciplined transaction management.
  • Produce and maintain component availability visibility for the team to determine what can be built based on current stock, allocated components, and the active schedule.
  • Develop and maintain vendor scorecards; set incoming inspection standards and make the final call on accepting or rejecting inbound shipments.
  • Directly supervise a team of 3-4 employees, with full accountability for team performance, training, daily workflow, and the physical layout and organization of the stockroom.
  • Develop a working understanding of hydraulic power unit product configurations to support accurate forecasting and intelligent procurement decisions.
  • Create structure from evolving processes.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of inventory management and/or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience building and/or executing reorder systems, ABC classification models, and safety stock frameworks using historical data.
  • Experience managing a stockroom, warehouse, or production support team.
  • Proficient in utilizing manufacturing ERP/MRP systems to manage materials, coordinate production scheduling, and maintain inventory control across company-wide operations.
  • Experience producing inventory valuation reports and working directly with accounting or finance teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable purchasing and inventory decisions.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a track record of maintaining high inventory accuracy.
