Inventory Planner II
About the role
The Inventory Planner is responsible for managing inventory within the manufacturing and warehouse facility. This role ensures a continuous and efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules and service demand while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turn rates, and on-hand quantities to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy between system records and physical stock.
- Ensure inventory is managed according to LIFO/FIFO requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory counts and records.
- Research shipping errors for root cause and RMA process control.
- Synchronize inventory records across business systems.
- Identify and communicate obsolete, outdated, or slow-moving inventory and drive to disposition.
- Collaborate with quality regarding red tag or off-spec material to ensure adequate segregation and disposition.
- Provide regular reports and updates on inventory status, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Analyze historical data to optimize safety stock levels.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain performance.
- Manage and dispose of obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain or adjacent field Preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a supply chain, inventory planning, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Technical Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and financial models.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).

Pay & Benefits
- Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
- Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
- Base Salary Range: $56,000-$77,000
