Inventory Planner II
About the role
The Inventory Planner is responsible for managing raw material and finished goods inventory within the manufacturing and warehouse facility. This role supports production schedules and customer demand while maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turn rates, and on-hand quantities to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy between system records and physical stock.
- Ensure inventory is managed according to LIFO/FIFO requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory counts and records.
- Research shipping errors for root cause and RMA process control.
- Synchronize inventory records across business systems.
- Identify and communicate obsolete, outdated, or slow-moving inventory and drive to disposition.
- Collaborate with quality regarding red tag or off-spec material to ensure adequate segregation and disposition.
- Provide regular reports and updates on inventory status and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Analyze historical data to optimize safety stock levels.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain performance.
- Manage and dispose of obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain or adjacent field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a supply chain, inventory planning, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment

Pay
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications. Base Salary Range: $64,000-$88,000
